小毛怪系列绘本我们之前分享了几个，今天还是这个系列中的故事，名字叫《Just For You》，第一人称的表达，让主人公小毛怪的形象更接地气，读起来更有亲切感，这一次，她想为妈妈做些特别的事情，但不总是事事顺利，还可能把它搞砸了，但是妈妈一定从中感受到了他的用心。
在生活里，细心观察，孩子们其实都很努力在爱着我们，只是我们常常忙于工作忘了去接收孩子爱的信号，也没有及时给孩子以回应。真正的爱，要靠眼睛去看，用心去体会。
This morning I wanted to make breakfast just for you...
今天早上我想为你做顿早餐...
but the eggs were too slippery.
可是鸡蛋太滑了。
I wanted to wash the floor just for you,
我想为你拖干净地板，
but the soap was too bubbly.
但是肥皂太多泡泡了。
I wanted to put away the dishes just for you,
我想为你收拾好这些餐具，
but the floor was too wet.
但是地面太湿了。
I wanted to carry the groceries just for you,
我想为你拿购买的东西，
but the bag broke.
但是袋子坏了。
I ate my sandwich just for you,
我想为你吃掉我的三明治，
but not my crusts.
但是不包括上面的面包皮。
I wanted to take a nap just for you,
为了你我想睡个午觉，
but the bed was too bouncy.
但是床太有弹性了。
I wanted to mow the lawn just for you,
为了你我想修剪草坪，
but I was too little.
但是我还太小了。
I picked an apple just for you,
我为你摘一个苹果，
but on the way home I got hungry.
但是在回家路上我饿了。
I wanted to set the table just for you,
我想为你收拾桌子，
but the TV was too loud.
但是电视声音太大了。
I wanted to not splash in my bath just for you...
为了你我不想在浴缸里溅出水来...
but there was a storm.
可是下暴雨了。
I wanted to do something very special,
我想做些特别的事情，
just for you.
为了你。
And I did it.
我做到了。
