今天我们继续学习根据语境线索分析完成七选五补全阅读——连接的解题技巧。
连接是指用连接词或连接语表明上下文之间的逻辑关系。常考查的连接性词汇有：因果关系，并列关系，转折关系，递进关系等。
一、因果关系
因果关系是指前后句子有着原因和结果的关系。表因果关系的词汇有：
so/therefore/thus/hence 因此，accordingly因此，相应的、 consequently因此、所以，as a result 结果等。举例如下：
From about 500 B.C.on, acting became a highly specialized art in Greece .Greek actors , however , still wore masks , and their motions were largely fixed by cu
G. Consequently , they had little opportunity to demonstrate their individual personalities.
答案解析：结合空格前一句可知，由于戴着面具，所以他们无法表现他们的个性，G选项符合语意，故选G。
二、并列关系
表并列关系的词汇有：first / second / third... 第一/第二/第三;firstly / secondly / thirdly ...首先/其次/第三 ; first 首先/ next其次/then然后... ; in the first place首先 / in the second place其次... ; for one thing首先，for another thing其次；to begin with首先；to conclude最后等。
2013全国卷（I）
Planning in business management has three main aspects. One is the establishment (制定) of broad basic policies with respect to production ;sales; the purchase of equipment , materials and supplies ; and accoun. The third relates to the establishment of standards of work in all departments.
E. The second aspect relates to the application of these policies by departments.
答案解析：根据空前“One”第一个方面和空格后“the third”第三个方面可知，此空为第二个方面，E项与上下文相呼应，符合语境，故选E。
三、转折关系
转折关系主要指英语行文中后句对前句构成逆转的逻辑关系，表转折关系的词汇有：but / however / nevertheless / yet /然而， nonetheless 尽管如此，still 仍然，though 虽然，in spite of 不管， at any rate / in any case 无论如何. on the contrary 正相反. In contrast 与此相反，by contrast / in comparison 相比之下，conversely 相反地，otherwise否则等。
2016年四川卷
Both men and women are living longer these days in industrialized countries. _______ . In general ,they can expect to live six or seven years more than men .
A. However ,women ,on average ,live longer.
答案解析：根据空后女性比男性多活6到7年可知，空格处讲的是平均来看，女人的寿命更长。同时，空格处所表达的内容与文章第一句构成转折关系，A项符合语境，故选A。
四．递进关系
递进关系主要指英语行文中后句对前句是一种顺承逻辑关系，表递进关系的词有：and 并列 、also 也、further 另外、furthermore 此外、 moreover 再者、 in addition 另外 、 what’s more 更重要的是、 too/ either 也 、 neither 两者都不、 not only...but also... 不仅...而且...等。
2016 （全国卷Ⅱ）
Have you ever visited a garden that seemed just right for you , where the atmosphere of the garden appeared to total more than the sum(总和) of its parts？_________. But it doesn’t happen by accident.
F. You can produce that kind of magical quality in your own garden,too.
答案解析：根据文章首句及下文“But it doesn’t happen by accident ”可知，这里是讲”你是否参观过一个美丽的花园。。。。。。但是它不是偶然发生。” F项的意思是你也可以把自己的花园弄得这么漂亮。F项符合上下文的语境。故选F。
