吻是什么样子，吻会丢吗？《我弄丢了我的吻》就讲述了一个这样有趣的故事。玛蒂尔达丢了她的亲吻，这可怎么办，她下定决心要在爸爸回来之前把它们找回来，伴随着小奶牛玛蒂尔达的一路寻找，她终于明白了人们不会真的丢掉亲吻——当你需要亲吻的时候它们就会出现！
这是一本关于爱的表达的书，作者是英国的特雷温，插图作者是英国布兰德，是一本中英双语对照的故事书，情节很简单，语言很美，故事很温馨，非常适合3岁以上的小朋友亲子共读。
Matilda Rose loved to kiss.
玛蒂尔达很喜欢亲吻。
She kissed hello,She kissed goodbye.
她用亲吻向人们问好，也用亲吻向人们告别。
She kissed good morning and she kissed goodnight.
她用亲吻向人们说早上好，也用亲吻向人们说晚安。
But one day something went terribly,horribly wrong.
但是，有一天发生了一件很糟糕的事儿。
"I've lost my kisses!"cried Matilda.
玛蒂尔达大声地喊着：“我弄丢了我的吻！”
"Don't be silly,Matilda Rose,"said her mother ."They'll be there when you need them."
“别傻了，玛蒂尔达.罗斯”她的妈妈说，“当你需要它们的时候，它们会出现的。”
"But I need them today!"said Matilda."Poppa's coming to the first thing he always says is 'Where's my big smoocheroo?'I just have find my kisses!"

"Maybe I lost them in my bedroom,"said Ma she wandered through the house,singing,"Kisses,kisses,come back to me.I'm missing my kissing-now where can you be?"
玛蒂尔达说：“可能我把它们丢在卧室了。”然后，她一边找遍整个屋子一边唱着：“吻啊，吻啊，快回来吧，我想我的吻了——现在你们在哪儿啊？”
"What do kisses look like?"asked Lambkins."I don't know," said Matilda."But I do know what they feel like.They can be soft like Mummy's sweet dreams kiss,or ticklish like Daddy's whiskerkiss."
小羊羔问：“吻长得什么样子啊？”“我也不知道。”玛蒂尔达说，“可我知道它们给人的感觉是什么样的。妈妈希望我有个好梦时的吻，是很柔软的。脸上长着胡须的爸爸吻我时，又是很痒的。”
Matilda looked in her cupboard,behind her toy box and under her bed,but all she found was an old banana.She screwed up her nose."Yuck,I wouldn't kiss that,even if I could find my kisses!"
玛蒂尔达在碗柜里面、玩具箱后面和床底下都找过了，可是除了一根已经发臭的香蕉，什么都没找到。玛蒂尔达揉揉鼻子说：“讨厌，即使我找到我的吻，也不会用来吻这个烂香蕉的！”
"Maybe I lost them outside,"said Ma she trudged into the garden,singing"Kisses,kisses,come back to me.I'm missing my kissing-now where can you be?"
玛蒂尔达说：“可能我把它们丢在外面了！”然后，她一边在花园里仔细找着一边唱着：“吻啊，吻啊，快回来吧，我想我的吻了——现在你们在哪儿啊？”
"What do kisses look like?"asked Cuddles."I don't know,"said Matilda."But I do know what they taste like.They can be yummy like a chocolatey Easter kiss."
卡多尔斯问：“吻长得什么样啊？”“我也不知道，”玛蒂尔达说，“可我知道它们的味道是什么样的，复活节时，沾满巧克力的吻，是香香的、甜甜的。”
Matilda looked high in the treetops,in a bird's nest and down the wall,but all she found was a long-lost doll.
玛蒂尔达把树梢上、鸟窝里和水井里都找遍了。可是除了一个很久以前丢的洋娃娃，什么也没找到。
"Oh Amy,I'm so glad to see you!I could kiss you!"said Matilda."Except I can't find any kisses,"she added sadly.
玛蒂尔达说：“哎，不管怎么样，找到你我很高兴，我可以吻你了！”她又难过地说：“可我没有找到我的吻！”
Later that morning ,Matilda trailed through the supermarket after mother."Maybe I can find my kisses here,"she sighed.
那天早晨的晚些时候，玛蒂尔达悄悄地跟着妈妈来到超级市场。她叹着气说：“也许我能在这儿找到我的吻！”
"What do kisses look like?"asked Mr McSnortic."I don't know,"said Matilda."But I do know what they sound like.They can make a little mwa sound like a kiss-it-better ki a wet,sloppy sound like baby Jeb's slobber kiss."
麦克斯诺提先生问道：“吻长得什么样啊？”“我也不知道，”玛蒂尔达说，“可我知道它们的声音是什么样的，亲一下就好了的吻，声音是‘姆嘛’的，婴儿宝宝流着口水的吻，声音是湿湿滑滑的。”
Matilda looked all through the vegetables,under the cereal boxes and on the dairy shelf. But she couldn't find her kisses anywhere.
玛蒂尔达仔细地检查了每一棵蔬菜，谷物箱下面和奶制品货架，可是，在哪都没找到她的吻。
Matilda dragged her feet all the way ;d looked everywhere,and she hadn't found a single ki Poppa was arriving that very afternoon!
玛蒂尔达找得脚都疼了，一步一步地走回了家。她已经找遍了所有的地方，可是连一个吻都没有找到。但是，下午爸爸就要回来了！
Matilda was the most miserable person at the air people started getting off the plane,she didn't even look up.But she heard them ki seemed that everyone had ki but her.
玛蒂尔达是机场里最可怜的人。人们开始下飞机了，可是她连头都不敢抬。但是，她听到人们在亲吻。她觉得好像每个人都拥有吻。除了她，每个人都有。
A big tear slid down Matilda's c then she heard a booming voice."Matilda Rose,where's my big smoocheroo?"
一滴眼泪滑过玛蒂尔达的小脸。接着，她又听到有人在大声地说话。“玛蒂尔达.罗斯，我最大的吻在哪儿啊？”
Suddenly Matilda felt something deep inside her c stretching feeling! Almost a bursting feeling!
突然，玛蒂尔觉得心沉了一下。一种心被拉紧的感觉！一种控制不住的感觉！
"I'm filling up with kisses!"she gasped."Just exactly when I need them!"
“我有亲吻的感觉了！”她气喘吁吁地说，“就在我需要它们的时候！”
Matilda gave Poppa the biggest smoocheroo ever!
玛蒂尔达给了爸爸一个最大的吻！
"My goodness,Matilda Rose,"said Poppa."That's the best kiss I've ever had.""For a minute I was worried that you'd lost your kisses!"
“天啊！玛蒂尔达.罗斯，”爸爸说，“这是我得到的最好的吻。”“刚才我还担心你丢了你的吻呢。”
"Oh,Poppa,you can't lose kisses,"said Matilda."Kisses will always be there when you need them!"
“哦！爸爸，你不会丢你的吻的！”玛蒂尔达说。“当你需要吻的时候，它们就会出现的！”
