一、初中阶段三大从句
英语句子的特点是：词可以做句子成分，短语可以做句子成分，句子也可以做句子成分。当一个句子做另一个句子的成分时，作为另一个句子成分的句子就是从句。做宾语的句子就是宾语从句；做定语的句子就是定语从句；做状语的句子就是状语从句。初中阶段学习了这三大从句，这三大从句为中考重要考点。
二、什么是定语从句
做定语的句子就是定语从句。定语的作用是对名词或代词起修饰或限定作用如，your school中的your 为限定词做定语，可改成定语从句：the school where you are studying，被从句修饰的词叫做先行词（the school），引导定语从句的词叫关系词（where），定语从句一般位于其修饰的先行词后面。
三、关系词
关系词起到连接主句与从句的作用，关系词的含义是指代先行词，比如定语从句：Do you know the man who is talking with your mother?从句关系词是“who”，我们不能把关系词“who”理解成疑问代词“谁”，“who”在这里指代的是先行词“the man”。关系词在从句中要充当一定的语法成分，关系词可分为关系代与关系副词，关系代词在从句中可以充当主语或宾语，关系副词在从句中充当状语。关系词的指代含义与在从句中的语法成分如下表：
