A hot Japanese game Travel Frog has become the most downloaded free app on the Apple Store in China these days.
In the game, the frog always goes on trips around Japan and sends back postcards, and sometimes local food. Players are required to do very little: They can grow and collect clover(三叶草) in the yard as in-game money, and help the frog pack for a journey.
Many people have praised the game for its slow pace, saying it meets the needs of younger generations in China to search out “Buddha-style”(佛系) gameplay.

She said the design of the game is cute, while it requires no skills in fighting, which is good for female players. Like other players, Yuan said she feels like an elderly mom waiting for her children to return home. And she also thinks it is a way of getting out of stress.
According to Ma Xiquan, a doctor of clinical psychology(心理),the frog brings a sense of satisfaction to the players, especially youth living alone. He said,“The game shows the relationship of a traditional Chinese or Japanese family. Players can satisfy their feelings through the process of taking care of the frog.” Ma also pointed out that the game players had the low social needs and they just wanted to live an easy life.

On March 14 this year, one of science’s brightest stars went dark. Stephen Hawking, the world-famous British scientist, died at 76 in Cambridge, UK.
Hawking is considered by many to be the greatest scientist in history since Albert Einstein. He came up with the theory(理论) that the universe began with the Big Bang (大爆炸) and will end in black holes. His theories became the base for a lot of later researches. He also wrote books to help common people understand the universe. His most famous book is A Brief History of Time, which has sold more than 10 million copies around the world.
Besides his scientific achievements, Hawking was also someone who had a strong will and optimistic attitude. When Hawking was 21, he was diagnosed (诊断) with a serious illness that stopped him from walking and talking. Later in life, he had to sit in a wheelchair and “speak” using a computerized voice. But this didn’t stop him from living a meaningful and colorful life.
“If one is physically disabled, one cannot afford to be psychologically (心理上) disabled as well,” he once said.
Hawking traveled around the world to attend science conferences, visiting every continent, including Antarctica(南极洲). He was also a fan of pop culture and appeared on TV shows such as Star Trek and The Big Bang Theory.
He celebrated his 60th birthday by going up in a hot-air balloon. When he was 65, he took part in a zero-gravity(零重力) flight to experience weightlessness. He hoped to travel into space one day.
In 2013, Hawking spoke about how he felt life was unfair when he was first diagnosed with his illness. “But now, 50 years later, I can be quietly satisfied with my life,” he said.
60. When did Stephen Hawking pass away?
61. Why do people regard Hawking as one of the greatest scientists in history?
62. What did the serious illness bring to Hawking?
