Yesterday's sleet morphed into a light morning snowfall, and you hankered for some fun-packed activities outside. After you woke up from your afternoon catnap, it was snowing more heavily, with snowflakes fluttering around in the wind and turning the ground into a white blanket and trees silvery cones. "It's too cold outside," mummy tried to talk you out of going out. With a lot of coaxing, you agreed not to but couldn't take your mind off the snow.
昨天是雨夹雪，今晨变成了小雪。你特别想出去玩儿。下午睡醒儿了，雪大了。有风，雪花纷飞，地上都铺白了，树像银锥。妈妈不想让你出去，说，“外面太冷了。”哄了你半天，你同意不出去，但仍不甘心。
Mummy had a lure up her sleeve, and it did the trick. A newly purchased pair of scissors intended for kids was dangled in front of you, and you jumped at the chance of paper cutting, an exercise you love, offered by the sweet yellow plastic tool. Not getting the hang of it, you did a poor job and asked mummy to lend you a helping hand after one crude attempt.
